Orton Effect Photoshop Action

These three Photoshop Actions are 1-Click presets that allow you to add the dreamy Orton Effect to your images in 3 levels of intensity (Light, Medium, and Heavy). I use these at the end of almost every photo to add a dreamy glow.

To install, simply download the file and save a copy anywhere on your computer / hard drive.

1. Then right click the .atn file > Open With > Other > Choose Photoshop

2. There is no step two. That’s it!

3. The 3 Actions will now appear in your actions panel in a folder labeled “Orton Effect Actions”

If that doesn’t work (because of the way your computer is set up), or you have multiple versions of Photoshop on one machine, then you’ll need to do things the hard way (it isn’t actually hard):

1. Open Photoshop, and click on the Actions Palette menu button (located in the top-right of the Actions Palette

2. Select “Load Actions”

3. Select the .atn file from the download
